The programme of events for the 2020 WorkEqual campaign will be unveiled tomorrow, Wednesday, 21st October, at 9am.
WorkEqual is an NGO-led campaign that has run every November since 2016, with the aim of raising awareness of workplace gender inequalities and related issues – and developing solutions to address these.
Commenting in advance of tomorrow’s launch, Sonya Lennon, founder of WorkEqual, said: “Last year, we held the inaugural WorkEqual national conference, which was a huge success. At the conference, delegates agreed five priority areas for action – and recommendations under each of these areas: gender stereotypes, the gender pay gap, flexible working, caring duties, and women in leadership.
“We are holding one event focused on each of these themes this year, and we have a really exciting line-up of Irish and international guest speakers confirmed. Obviously, given the year that’s in it, all events will move online for WorkEqual 2020.
“We are also delighted to have Permanent TSB and SOLAS on board as headline sponsors for the WorkEqual campaign.”
