Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicles division is giving its backing to the upcoming RTE television series ‘DIY SOS: The Big Build’, set to debut on Irish screens this Autumn.
Produced by Dublin-based Motive Television and screened on RTÉ ONE, the series will be hosted by popular presenter, Baz Ashmawy (pictured).
Under the arrangement, Mercedes-Benz will supply the production team with two vans for the duration of filming – a Vito 109L and a Sprinter 311.39.
Expected to feature throughout the series, both will be used to transport building and filming equipment and materials, site volunteers and trades people, and production team personnel.
Commenting, Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicles sales manager, Fergus Conheady said: “DIY SOS is a hugely worthwhile and inspiring undertaking that brings benefit to so many. It is one we are proud to support”.
