Both the Louth representatives have attended and supported Dundalk Chamber in the past. The Chamber met with an EU Parliamentary Group in Dundalk organised by Mairead to explain the impact of Brexit on the Local economy. (Photo with Brian Hayes then MEP and Sean Kelly MEP). This gave the Chamber the opportunity of expressing the Community concern over Brexit and the fact that its implications would be many. Mairead has a wealth of experience in relation to various businesses in Louth and this can only protect us from Brexit. She also hosted a meeting in Brussels for Chambers Ireland in January of this year.
Colm as a councillor worked on the 2040 National Plan implementation and has been a great supporter of the MI Corridor, speaking at public meetings organised by the Chamber to raise awareness of the opportunities for the area
