Minister for the Environment, Climate and Communications, Eamon Ryan TD, has today (11 November 2020) announced the appointment of Mr Terence O’Rourke as the new Chairperson Designate of the Board of ESB.
Welcoming the appointment, Minister Ryan noted the significant leadership experience Mr O’Rourke will bring to the role.

The Programme for Government commits us to reducing our overall greenhouse gas emissions by more than half by the end of this decade and ESB will play an important role in helping the country reach that goal. I look forward to working with Mr. O’Rourke as the ESB continues to take a leadership role in addressing the decarbonisation challenge and meeting our climate targets.”
