Whether through a heightened awareness of health and wellbeing, having more time to invest in ourselves, or just the need for a pick-me-up, self-care has become a greater priority for many since the outbreak of Covid-19. With this in mind, the award-winning Oxmantown Skincare is launching a range of curated giftboxes to pamper, protect and repair.
Oxmantown Skincare, an ethical and cruelty-free range, is based in Dublin’s Stoneybatter which sources local organic and sustainable ingredients and takes an environmentally friendly approach to packaging by using only recyclable glass bottles.
Founder Amy Cahill, originally from County Meath, has a background in beauty therapy and aromatherapy, and initially launched Oxmantown from her kitchen table. Demand for her botanical products grew as Amy began trading at markets across Ireland and Oxmantown is now stocked in retailers nationwide. The range was also awarded the LEO Best Product Award at Showcase Ireland 2020.
Working closely with clients to treat skin conditions and health issues, Amy has developed a range of products which provide a truly sensory and enjoyable experience. Speaking about the launch of the Oxmantown giftboxes, Amy said they will address the skincare concerns many clients have reported during lockdown: “Everyone has been experiencing dry skin from constant handwashing or flareups due to mask-wearing. But generally, I’ve found many people have a renewed focus on self-care with all the stress and anxiety we’ve been dealing with this year. On top of that, I had many clients buying gifts to send to friends or family they couldn’t see, either for special occasions or just as thoughtful gestures to bridge the physical distance we’ve all had to maintain.
“Our new range of giftboxes have something for everyone – from mothers-to-be or men who’ve used the lockdown to cultivate their facial hair. The Hydration Heroes Facial Kit, the Perfume Discovery Giftbox, or the Citrus Hand Care Kit will provide the perfect treat to gift to loved ones, or keep for your own essential self-care!”
Other giftboxes include the Rosehip Ritual Facial Kit, the Balance Bundle and the Emerald Gift Box. Amy said much of the Oxmantown range has been inspired by her travels, particularly throughout India, and uses only the highest quality, organic ingredient: “It’s fantastic to see that many more people are becoming ethically and environmentally conscious – we’ve had a great response to our small batch products and recyclable packaging. Customers are giving more attention to their own self-care but they’re also choosing not to compromise on ethical products.”
