As non-essential retail and a large part of the hospitality sector reopens today, Retail NI has urged consumers to shop safe and be respectful to retail workers.
Retail NI Chief Executive Glyn Roberts said:
“As our retail sector fully reopens today, we once again would urge consumers to shop safe and ensure they comply with the Executive’s regulations. Retail NI has republished its five-point plan for safe and responsible shopping for these vital Christmas shopping weeks”
“This is the most important time of the year for retailers and many will want to make the ground lost over the past two weeks of the circuit-breaker”
“Retail NI and its members have been working with the Executive and local councils to ensure that our high streets are open and safe for shoppers and their families. Many of our town centres will have Covid Ambassadors, public hand sanitisers and business compliance signage which we hope will give reassurance to the general public”
