The fourth industrial revolution will disrupt every aspect of our lives and present enormous opportunity for Irish businesses. That’s according to Henrik von Scheel who will address an audience of pharma and biopharma leaders at an Innopharma event at The Alex Hotel, 41-47 Fenian Street, Dublin 2 on Wednesday 4th December 2019, at 9am.

Mr. von Scheel – who is based in Zurich – is internationally renowned as the originator of the ‘Industry 4.0’ concept: the idea that we are currently living through a fourth industrial revolution, which merges the digital, virtual and physical worlds with colliding trends that bring about paradigm shifts.

Making his first visit to Ireland, Mr. von Scheel will address over 40 invited guests from the pharma, biopharma and medtech sectors and provide exclusive and actionable insights on Building Ireland’s High-Tech Manufacturing Skills for the Future.

Hosted by Innopharma, Ireland’s leading education, research and technology institute, tomorrow’s event will be delivered in partnership with BioPharmaChem Ireland, a business association within Ibec that represents the biopharma and chemical sectors.

Mary Mitchell O’Connor TD, Minister of State at the Department of Education with special responsibility for Higher Education, will deliver the opening address. Mr. von Scheel and Minister Mitchell O’Connor will be joined by:

Dr. Ian Jones, founder and CEO of the Innopharma Group;
Matt Moran, Director of BioPharmaChem Ireland;
Orla Callan, Education Programme Director at Innopharma;
Dr. Vivienne Patterson, Head of Skills and Engagement with the Higher Education Authority;
Erik O’Donovan, Head of Digital Economy Policy at Ibec; and
David C. Hegarty, Assistant Secretary at the Department of Business, Enterprise and Innovation.
