New partnership with Manifest Ireland will see Fastway Couriers becoming one of the largest Customs Brokers in Ireland when Brexit begins

·       In partnership with Manifest Ireland, Fastway Couriers establishes customs hub at Dublin Port

·       Post-Brexit, customs declarations expected to soar to 20 million per annum in Ireland

Date: 21st December 2020: Fastway Couriers (Ireland) has today announced a partnership with Manifests Ireland, that will help Fastway Couriers clients’, and in turn, their customers, manage their post-Brexit customs clearances, while keeping imports and exports seamlessly flowing with the UK. The partnership will also see Fastway Couriers becoming one of the largest Customs Brokers in Ireland when Brexit begins.

Danny Hughes, Chief Executive Officer, Fastway Couriers Ireland said: “We began planning for Brexit a long time ago, and have made significant strides including securing Authorised Economic Operator Status (AEO) from Revenue earlier this year. We also hold several customs authorisations enabling us to rapidly process customs clearance declarations of our clients’ parcels”.  Hughes added, post-Brexit, Revenue expects the current 1.6 million customs declarations to dramatically increase to 20 million per annum and our partnership with Manifest Ireland will enable Fastway Couriers to simplify the entire customs process, for our clients, in a time of so much uncertainty”.

The new partnership has seen Fastway Couriers establish their customs head office at Dublin Port, where a team of customs experts, have been working in the background responding to Brexit queries from Fastway Couriers clients.

Derek Dunne, Managing Director, Manifest Ireland, has been involved in Customs declaration for over 30 years and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers and a Council Member of the Irish International Freight Association. On the formation of the new partnership, Derek said: “Fastway Couriers are at the forefront of the parcel delivery industry and this partnership cements their vision to continuously provide an outstanding delivery service post Brexit”.
