Irish businesses, manufacturers and healthcare settings will tomorrow (21.10.20) celebrate their cleaning staff as part of the third annual Thank Your Cleaner Day initiative in Ireland, powered by Kärcher.
Virtual and socially distanced celebrations and presentations will take place across Ireland as members of the Irish Contract Cleaning Association pay tribute to the 27,000 people employed within the commercial cleaning industry.
Speaking ahead of Thank Your Cleaner Day, Avril McCarthy, Chair of the Irish Contract Cleaning Association, said: “With so many businesses closed, staff working from home and social distancing measures in place across the country, it’s harder for businesses to come together to show their appreciation for their cleaning staff this year. We’re delighted that so many of our members are doing what they can, within the guidelines, to visit their staff and make special presentations to applaud their work in a year when it has been vital to protecting society, reopening the economy, and keeping everyone safe.”
First established by Kärcher in New Zealand in 2014, Thank Your Cleaner Day is a global initiative celebrated in over 30 countries worldwide.
