Irish owned e-scooter company Zeus, with a 3,000-strong fleet, have rapidly become one of the fastest growing scooter companies in the shared micro-mobility arena. Since the company’s initial launch in Germany in 2020, they have successfully mobilised their unique 3-wheeled e-scooters in a total of 28 cities throughout Germany, Norway and Sweden and have further plans for expansion across Europe, Asia and the US. The latest stop on the journey was Italy, in the coastal city of Anzio, where Zeus, in partnership with local operating partner Green Motion, were appointed by Anzio City Council as the sole provider of rental e-scooters for the city. The official launch took place on Friday 13th August at Rivazzurra, attended by Valentina Salsedo, Councilor for Productive Activities, Tourism and Entertainment Policies.
Commenting at the launch Councilor Salsedo said “We are delighted to announce today, the introduction of an alternative and sustainable transport solution for the city of Anzio” She continued “The safety of users was at the forefront of our selection criteria when it came to choosing the right provider for our city, which is why we awarded the permission to Zeus Scooters, together with local partner Green Motion, as the only provider to offer a more stable 3-wheeled scooter option. We welcome the arrival of e-scooters to Anzio and see this as another solid step towards the achievement of our mission to build a sustainable and dynamic living environment for our citizens, businesses and visitors.”
Zeus’ innovative e-scooter sets it apart from other options available in the marketplace by providing extra stability to riders due to its solid 3-wheeled base. This unique feature enables a safer and smoother ride for the user which is why the company tagline invites prospective customers to ‘Experience the Difference’. It is also the reason why Zeus have found that their scooters have mass appeal to all generations, attracting a much broader demographic than is typical for the shared e-scooter market. In particular, larger numbers of female users and a much wider age group are choosing the Zeus e-scooter over its 2-wheeled rivals.
“Together with our local partner Green Motion, we are excited to bring our e-scooters to the beautiful and historical city of Anzio and are delighted to have been chosen by Anzio City Council as the sole provider for the locality’ said CEO and Founder of Zeus Scooters Damian Young. “Cities everywhere are looking for a convenient, environmentally friendly and safe transport solution. Zeus e-scooters deliver on all fronts and this has been evidenced by the high level of usage by customers in other countries in which they operate. We look forward now with anticipation to serving the micro mobiity needs of the people of Anzio ’ he added.
