FREE NOW, Ireland’s leading ride hailing app, today welcomes the announcement from Minister for Transport Eamon Ryan TD of a sectoral support package of €6.5m for Taxi, Hackney and Limousine operators in Ireland.

“FREE NOW today welcomes the supports announced by Minister for Transport Eamon Ryan TD for the Small Public Service Vehicle (SPSV) industry in Ireland.
“Like so many others, the transport sector has been deeply impacted by the pandemic and while we are encouraged to see passenger numbers improve as the economy and society begins to reopen, there is still some way to go for this sector to fully recover.
“The supports outlined by the Transport Minister will offer some assurances to drivers, who as we know have played an incredibly important role in supporting key workers throughout the pandemic, and who will be integral in keeping the nation moving as more facets of the economy begin to open up and recover.
